Celtis australis

There is a large example of this tree in the main section of the Park, but many other younger specimens can be found, lined up along the “Paseo del Parque” main road, amidst the block planting. It’s a common street tree in Spain.  A feature of this deciduous tree is a small black berry or “drupe” which hangs on the bare branches during winter, and the smooth silver bark is another attraction, both providing a seasonal contrast against the tropical green. .
